You never know where Heavenly Lights' fixtures may show up. This 3-arm Cherub Chandelier was featured in a sweet baby nursery on a sewing pattern. The Donna Babylon pattern is part of her Roommates Collection in her More Splash Than Cash series. This shows that you do not have to use a chandelier in the center of the room, sometimes it can serve as a focal point by hanging it directly over your bed or in a corner.

In February 2005, owner, Cherie Drennan was featured in a wonderful article in The Tennessean's Living and Style section. The article explains Cherie's background and how she got started in antique/vintage lighting restoration and sales.

As a child, Cherie Drennan found that she enjoyed playing "office" more than playing dolls. She would set up her desk with papers, staplers, calendars and an appointment book ready for clients to come knocking. She had no idea of what she needed clients for, nonetheless, she was ready to conduct business.
Years later, Cherie finished high school and not realizing her creative side went on to earn a Finance Degree in college. She married her college sweetheart and went to work for an insurance company. A short time later she started having children and something in her changed.
After having her first child, she began to feel the tug that so many women feel of wanting to be home to raise their little ones. After her second child was born she was allowed to work part-time but, not too long afterward, she found that child number three was on the way.
After much prayer, she and her husband Greg decided it was time for her to take the leap into being a full-time stay-at-home-mom. It's a good thing because in just a few short years two more bundles of joy filled the Drennan's home, making five children in all.
Being home to raise her children was everything she had hoped it would be. However, for as long as she could remember, Cherie wanted to start her own business. Being a stay-at-home Mom with her children was the most wonderful place to be and she felt strongly that it was the right decision but, it did not squash the yearning to start something of her own.
Guilt began to creep over her. How could she want to start her own business when she was supposed to be perfectly content at home with her children? She knew she did not want to go back to work and put her children in daycare but how could she fulfill the need that she had? She looked into many things and realized that with internet businesses growing so quickly that she could start her business right out of her home.
Her sister Vikie and her mother Judi were blessed with a talent for home décor. Cherie jokes that somehow she was looked over when God distributed that talent. Little did she know that at 36 years old she was about to find a talent and passion of her own.

In 2003 the Drennan's found a fantastic 1860 farmhouse on the outskirts of town in need of cosmetic renovation. They bought the home and began the arduous task of renovating.
Much of the early lighting had been removed from the home and replaced. Cherie decided to start replacing the lighting and began with the dining room chandelier. The fixture was not her style but the more she studied it, she realized it had lots of potential. Even though the color was not to her liking, it had a beautiful frame with incredible trim. She decided to give the old chandelier a facelift. Though the work was tedious, she enjoyed it. The finished product turned out more beautiful than she could have imagined.
Her lighting project turned out to be so fun that she immediately went out and found three chandeliers and transformed them too. Soon chandeliers began to fill each room of the Drennan's home and Heavenly Lights was born. Cherie feels blessed to be working in a field that she is so passionate about while being able to stay home to raise her family.
She believes that beautiful lighting is like artwork for your ceiling. She warns though, once her clients upgrade a fixture, they're hooked. They have a hard time stopping themselves because it totally transforms the look and feel of their home.
Cherie is able to fulfill her dreams with her appointment-only shop behind her home. She also sells her custom lighting through her online store Heavenly Lights with her five wonderful children and husband by her side.
Most of her time is spent working on custom designed chandeliers for her clients. Her custom line of vintage children's chandeliers remains a favorite. Heavenly Lights' fixtures hang in boutiques and fine homes all over the United States and in numerous other countries.
